Our 4-day itinerary
DAY 1:
Sergiyev Posad: The Heart of Russian Orthodoxy — Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius
1) Our journey begins with the main spiritual pearl of Russia. Troitse-Sergieva Lavra is not just a monastery, but a place of power founded by St. Sergius of Radonezh in 1337.
Main shrine: You will bow before the holy relics of St. Sergius, which rest in the ancient Trinity Cathedral. It was for this cathedral that the great icon painter Andrei Rublev painted his famous "Trinity".
What you will see: The majestic Assumption Cathedral, the Refectory Chamber, the bell tower, and the Serapion Chamber — the resting place of other holy saints. You can collect holy water from the chapel over the well, dug, according to tradition, by Sergius of Radonezh himself.
2) Khotkovo: Pokrovsky Monastery — the resting place of Sergius of Radonezh's parents.
Just a few kilometres from the Lavra is the ancient Pokrovsky Khotkov Monastery, founded back in 1308. This place is especially revered, as it was here that the venerable Cyril and Maria — the parents of the great abbot of the Russian land — took their monastic vows and found eternal rest.
Special atmosphere: This is a convent where a special silence and cosiness reign. Pilgrims come here to ask for help from the venerable Cyril and Maria in family matters and the upbringing of children, as they themselves raised a holy son.
DAY 2:
Serpukhov: Ancient male and female cloisters
The ancient city of Serpukhov preserves the memory of two outstanding 14th-century monasteries.
Vysotsky Men's Monastery: Founded in 1374 with the blessing of St. Sergius of Radonezh and with the participation of Prince Vladimir the Brave. It was from here that his squad departed for the Kulikovo Field. Here you will see the majestic Conception Cathedral and touch history.
Vvedensky Vladychny Convent: This place is connected with a miracle — according to tradition, in 1360 the Mother of God herself showed St. Alexius of Moscow the place to found the cloister. This is one of the oldest convents in the Moscow region, possessing a special graceful atmosphere.
Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Softening of Evil Hearts" in Serakseevo: A visit to this wonderful church in a quiet, picturesque location. Here we will pray before the revered image of the Most Holy Theotokos for peace of soul and the well-being of loved ones, collect healing water from the holy spring, and be able to take a dip in the font.

DAY 3:
Borovsk: St. Paphnutius Borovsky Monastery
Our path leads to the Kaluga region, to the city of Borovsk.
St. Paphnutius Borovsky Monastery was founded by St. Paphnutius of Borovsk in 1444. This place is closely connected with the history of the Moscow state.
Spiritual traditions: The great St. Joseph of Volotsk began his monastic journey here. In the 16th century, the monastery walls were painted by iconographers Dionysius and Mitrofan.
Witness to history: The monastery remembers both the Time of Troubles and the Church Schism: Archpriest Avvakum was held within its walls. Today it is an active men's monastery where the relics of its founder — St. Paphnutius of Borovsk — rest.
DAY 4:
Shrines of the Heart of Russia and the Journey's End
The fourth day is dedicated to the Orthodox shrines of Moscow. We will visit the capital's main spiritual cloisters.
Cathedral of Christ the Saviour — the majestic cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church, a symbol of the rebirth of faith and the spiritual strength of our country.
Sretensky Stavropegic Monastery — one of the oldest
Danilov Monastery — the first Moscow monastery, founded by the Holy Prince.
Our joint excursion program concludes at 14:00.
